Merlins Mating - Assorted Birds - Dragonfly
Saw, what I now know to be, the female Merlin perched. Then heard the male call, but it was a shorter lower scree than usual. I will now for ever be able to identify it as the booty call. The male flew into view so I zoomed back to try and get a BIF as it flew through the open space in front of me. I was a little surprised as what actually happened and got several photos of the action but never got a chance to zoom in as it all happened so quickly.
