We visited the ponds again and saw one Great Blue Heron at a distance.

Canon SX40 840mm Heron has caught a Salamander

| SX40 840mm crop. When shooting at 840mm one really needs a monopod or tripod, We had a monopod with us but the piece to attach the camera to the monopod was missing so all the pictures taken were hand held. |
