Birds - April 2016

Seeing more of the migratory birds this last week. Weather has not been great. Some snow just about every day.
Witnessed the arrival of the first Red Winged Blackbird at the pond. I heard a trilling call and eventually saw 2 black dots descending from the sky. The first landed and continued trilling while the second turned and departed. It will be a chilly and lonely wait for the first arrival.

A distant shot. I could only identify them as ducks through the viewfinder.
